Completely Automated Bulk Rate Sort

Mailing Labels may be printed for a single file or for any combination of files. As an example you may print labels for the Membership file by itself or you may print labels for the Membership, Candidates and Widows at the same time.

When labels are printed, if there are 200 or more of them, they are pre-sorted by the requirements of the U.S. Postal Service for Bulk Mail. That is to say they are not sorted by Zip Code only. If you are familiar with this sort you do not have to read the following.

U.S. Postal Service Bulk Mail Sort Order:

NOTE: In October of 1996 this change went into effect for Non-Profit Organizations. It was modified in 1997 and again in 2000.

Group 3. Area Distribution Centers (ADC's) with 10 or more pieces. (Sort Code A)

Group 4. Miscellaneous ADC's grouped by ADC (Sort Code MS)

All that is necessary is to affix the labels to the mailing and take them to the Post Office. All the sorting is done for you.

There are four label formats. One pin fed and three sheet formats. Sheet formats are printed 14, 20 or 30 per page. Labels are printed with the Postal Bar and ADC Sort Codes with the exception of the 30 per page sheet format which has no bar code.
